A LOVE OF TEXTILES
For more than 30 years, I’ve worked with fabrics, fashion and merchandise — always drawn to beautiful materials, thoughtful design and the people behind them.
Thread + Butter grew from that passion. What began with a love of textiles became a collection of pieces made to be lived with, worn often and passed down.
We believe the things we live with and wear should have a story. They should feel beautiful, but also meaningful — made with exceptional materials and with respect for the hands that create them.
THE FIBERS WE LOVE
We are drawn to natural fibers for their beauty, softness and enduring quality. Two of our favorites are baby alpaca and 12-gauge cashmere.
BABY ALPACA
Baby alpaca is one of the fibers we return to again and again. It has a beautiful natural softness and a luxurious hand, making it ideal for the blankets, throws and sweaters that are at the heart of Thread + Butter.
We love it for its warmth, texture and natural beauty — and for the connection it gives us to the artisans who work with it.
12-GAUGE CASHMERE
Our cashmere is knitted in a 12-gauge construction, giving each piece a refined, substantial feel while maintaining the softness and ease we love about cashmere.
We choose cashmere for pieces that are meant to become part of everyday life — beautiful enough to feel special, yet timeless enough to wear for years.
MADE WITH PEOPLE IN MIND
Thread + Butter works with artisan communities, including women in small villages whose craft helps support their families.
For us, luxury isn't only about the finished piece. It's about knowing where it comes from, who made it and why it matters.
